Another mediocre Sonic game made by Sonic Team. Classic Sonic is back in all new adventure with old and new friends. The game looks great and controls like a Classic Sonic game. The music is pretty much what you should expect from any Sonic game. The issue stems from the gameplay. Stages take page from Sonic CD and results in massive vertical stages loaded with traps, enemies, and gimmicks that make it very hard to maintain your speed. Boss fights take a while as you have to sit and wait for the enemy to reveal the weak spot for you to hit this is usually accompanied with bullet-hell like attacks you must dodge. The second to last boss is at the end of a stage that takes almost 5 minutes to clear and forces you to sit through a 9 minute long boss battle where you spend most of that time dodging attacks that are one hit kills if you mess up. This boss also has two phases and if you die you have to start over from the beginning of phase one. The multiplayer is also a mess as every character runs at different speeds making it hard for any player to traverse and experience the stage while in anything more than 2 players. This is a Classic Sonic game plagued with Modern Sonic problems. If you want a good classic Sonic experience I would suggest Sonic Origins or Sonic Mania.

As a young child I loved Sonic X as there wasn't much in the way of Sonic on TV. As an adult I really dislike it. The show is way too focused on Chris rather than Sonic, additionally Chris is a whiny self-centered brat who puts himself in danger and causes more trouble for Sonic and co. without any consequence. At the end of the day Sonic X is just another disappointing 4Kids anime. If you want a good Sonic series I suggest Sonic the Hedgehog (aka Sonic SatAM).
