I have just watched the programme, and was utterly appalled to see the item on Phil`s Pineapple Fritters, they were fried in a saucepan full of oil. For years the British Fire & Rescue Service has been promoting using a thermostatically controlled deep fat fryer, a large number of house fires, and deaths from house fires, which start at night, or at meal times can be contributed to using sauspans to fry in, and there on national television Phils using the one item the fire service has been desperate to eliminate from homes. Maybe now to put things right, the programme controllers should invite the fire service in to demonstrate the risk of using such techniques in the home, so the public can remain safe from this very dangerous practice.
