Chaotic and beautiful.
When I played Firewatch for the first time, I got so hooked I did a full playthrough in one sitting. Granted the game is only about 3 hours long, however I found myself wanting to be able to replay it over again with everything still being a surprise.
It almost feels surreal how this game plays with your mind. One moment it's a comical game, with funny dialogue and silly tasks and the next you find yourself on the edge of your seat, needing to know what's about to happen in this ever so swiftly changing, tense to the bone adventure.
Many times I found myself smiling at the game, and the relationship between the two main characters, but there were several points that made my blood run cold with anxiety.
It truly is a mystery as to who is with you and who's against you. You find yourself questioning everything, and debating whether what you just did was the right course of action.
This game is an absolute work of art from the exciting, 'new beginings' start, all the way up to the bittersweet end. And if you're going to play this game, be prepared for a roller coaster of emotions.
