Confusing timelines, jumping from past to future and back, which give no chance to really relate to the characters and their development. Dialogues are forced, tears come out of nowhere, chemistry is missing. Casting choices are doubtful, especially in terms of ages the actors portray. Overall, waste of 2 hours. Better watch the 1994 movie or read the book once more.
