Not like the books so theres that and that could be a problem for you...not near as 'silly' or puny. The accents and voices are purposely difficult and that's annoying. Looks really nice. Looks good. Its not a mainstream obviously improbable but not fantastic or funny sitcom or sad deep voiced steely eyed cop/crime drama so that's a big plus. Ignore that its not exactly like the books and its alright.

If you're white middle class/rich and write movie reviews as your hobby this movie is probably not for you. Uppity whites don't like it when Hollywood makes movies that portray poor white people because it strikes too close to thier suburban homes. If this film were about poor people of color all the bougie white film reviewers would be clapping because its 'ok' to portray people of color as poor. Watch the film and remember that film reveiwers never make or star in films and their only good reviews are bad reviews.
