This film goes widely astray on two fronts. First of all it trivializes a real and serious threat to the elderly by financial predators. In this film the featured predator and her prey do hot have the gravitas needed to encompass the real problem. Secondly, the portrayal of the seniors themselves reduces them to hapless and hopeless caricatures. Even the star victim raises befuddlement to a fine art. The final "judgment" scene does little to address the crime of financial predation of the elderly. For that matter, the film does not contribute one whit to raising people's consciousness of this kind of economic elder abuse.
