During the movie I heard some pretty homophobic jokes/sentences. Ellen’s mother was shown as a homophobic person, but those homophobic remarks came from others as well, so I don’t think it was just to show how homophobic one person was. Nobody ever mentioned that those remarks are wrong and that angered me. As a part of lgbt community I can say that some of those “jokes” were low key offensive.
