If you find this movie boring or the paintings were meh, then congratulations, you’re normal like the rest of everybody. I really mean it. “We’re like a pair of odd socks” was one of the lines in the movie and it hits home real hard. I’m not a painter myself, nor an artist. However, I don’t need to be one to understand what was Maud going through all her life and this movie was beautifully made depicting that. I bursted out crying but far from feeling any sadness. Nearly 30 years, I was asking myself why am I different, why I can’t be like everyone else. Every single day was a constant inner struggle for me. 2020 was the year that my struggles shown. It is true that some people don’t like it if you’re different. People throw rocks at you.
