I love this live action show. Yes, it's different from the original animation, the characters are slightly different, everything is over the top, but it is a great production. John Cho was a great choice for Spike Spiegel. Jet Black live is a lot like the animated character, but he has a lot more depth. I like how the live Faye is very different from the animated Faye. She's got more character, more self respect, more dimension. I really do think this is an excellent show. I thought that critics are a little harsh. Before judging it, I think people should watch the animated show, then watch the live action show. That's how I did it. Obviously live action has its limitations, but they do a pretty fine job of recreating it. I look forward to watching the next season.
