Unlike any war documentary I have ever seen. I began to feel I was with these men, suffering what the British soldiers were suffering, feeling their fear, bravado and camraderie. Incredible technical achievement and historical breakthrough. These men live again before our eyes, in all their pain, fear and humanity. Eye-opening portion on the relationship between Brits and the German POWs. Bravissimo Peter Jackson & team!

Entertaining as Hell, great cast, and makes clear parallels between past rascist groups and rascist culture and the current rise of anti-Black, anti-Semitic and anti-immigrant groups and policies. One of Spike Lee's best!! He should get an Oscar nod.
