Substandard romcom, poorly directed, cast, and shot. Totally missable.

I had problems with tbe Irish dialect.

It helps if you are familiar with the history of the New Yorker magazine know French, and like Wes Anderson, so you get all the dry humor. This was a deliciously eccentric, fast-paced, send-up of New Yorkeresque journalism and French culture. Lots of visual surprises. Superbly acted. Not for children.

Thought-provoking on many levels, absurdly dry humor, snappy dialogue, haunting music, gorgeous photography, well-crafted- a true joy to watch!

Excellent police drama with plenty of twists and superbly acted by Rufus Sewell. The ensemble is wonderful, the venues gritty, and Caterina is stunningly sexy.

This is an hysterically funny send-up of 1950's Hollywood. There are so many insider jokes and references that an annotation would be beneficial to those who do not have the background in entertainment, social, and political history of the US. There are several Oscar-worthy performances; this film, and its actors, was woefully overlooked - could it be that it was too close for comfort for the Hollywood community? The production values are also excellent, as well as the over-the-top choreography. I have seen it a dozen times, and have bought the DVD. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride!
