I will preface this by stating that it is a King Kong movie, and I shouldn't expect any oscar winners here, but is this really what is trending these days? I guess the worst thing about this movie is that other 'critics' rated it so high... I guess this is why modern movies suck so bad! There were so many rip-offs in this movie, I stopped counting 3/4 of the way through. From the Hobbit, to Jurassic Park, and even South Park's Streisand vs Smith episode. There was a "Dad" character that they kept in the plot that literally had nothing to do with the movie... I guess seeing Kong land some "roundhouse" punches was kind of cool, but it was surrounded by 'special' effects that were likely ripped off from every 'Marvel' movie in the last decade... I am not a writer, director, or have any experience developing movies, but isn't there any chance of making a good movie void of re-hashed plots, characters, and special effects? Maybe the next installment of this 'clash' could be the original Kong from the 30's and Godzilla from the 50's could have a tag-team match against their modern counterparts, and beat the ever-loving snot out of them
