This book was up and down for me. It started off kind of slow and took a while to pick up. For me, I would say it started to pick up after Hollis and Valentina became friends.The plot twist had me SHOOK and I feel like it shouldn’t have happened, especially to Silas. It left me feeling empty and disappointed. I was really rooting for Hollis and Silas and I wanted to read more about their life together. Hopefully the second book can make up for that.
