I was reading the "Yojana" magazine (August 2020 edition), the article was 'The Philosophy Of Indian Classical Music'. The article introduced me to the fascinating world of Sangeet Shastra. I, then, started googling about it more and more and I found that a new web series has been launched for the music lovers. I thought 'OK' I should watch it. I downloaded the first EP.
Suddenly, before the web intro, the song "Jaago Mohan Pyaare" gave me goose in the body. I said OH MY GOD!! This is AMAZING. Then Radhe met Tamanna, I said OK. The love is to hold the viewers. But in the 2nd EP, the mesmerizing performance of Panditji (Naseeruddin Shah) very easily convinced me that, it is our great music that will hold the viewers, only A GLIMPSE of the rich heritage of Indian music. Each episode made me dive deep & deep into the perspective of pureness, devotion, and complexity of our Shastriya Sangeet. The Guru-Shishya relation, The Gharana tradition, Indian instruments - their melodies and above all the way of preserving it from the very beginning, are very pleasant to watch and, I think, absolutely mandatory for all Indians to know about it.
Thanks for such a nice presentation.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
And One Thing I Want to Promise to ALL VIEWERS that You'll CRY THROUGHOUT THE 10th( S01 E10) EPISODE WITHOUT KNOWING WHY YOU'RE CRYING.
