I hadn't heard of this book until I picked it up in a bookstore.
Despite having good knowledge of Irish Politics and the Thatcher years, I found the buildup where the author sets the scene to be good reading and well set out.
Then he drops a gear and his writing skills, supported by excellent research bring this book alive.
He layers the facts with detailed knowledge of the people involved to draw you into the story as if you were there, especially towards the end of the manhunt.
A thoroughly good read.
