Ah, this book. What can I say? As a 17 year old girl on the brink of adulthood, in a similar way to the 2 main characters in this book, i found the novel itself to be exceptionally tender, irrevocably intriguing and, well, mildly depressive (more so on the 2nd read).
But, nevertheless, this novel provided an excellent and surprisingly, uniquely RAW depiction of an on-again-off-again love story between two (I'd say) damaged but thought provoking characters.
I adored this book. Less for the way it made me feel, as is the case with many novels, and more for the way it challenged me to think.
And for those who enjoy the actual written word over the story depicted within the pages, the style Salley Rooney uses is quite interessting and...expressive, somehow.
All in all, a fundamentally goodmbook that deserves your attention.
