Glad I waited to see it on Netflix, it is OK but the plot is thin, and although the acting is good it is not worth 5 stars because the writing is also thin. Brad Pitt spends 3/4 of the movie getting there and as he leaves, suddenly he is landing on earth something like 3 billion miles away, and he hasn't aged one day. A great deal of the movie is made up of Roy's inner reflection and self Psych evaluations, so it is understandable why it is a bit disjointed. However, the filming is very good, so I will give it that. Some of the space shots are unbelievably well done. However much of the action is completely unrealistic, but fun anyway.
