Mrs. Maisel is a fighter that tries to change the traditional thinking of those around here by taking on a very traditional male job, at least for the white population, after her world is shattered by her husband. This shattering has repercussions as everything she knew and took as permanent is changed in front of her eyes while navigating a male dominant world where she is just a pair of breasts in heels, and she proves them wrong by her whip-like tongue and a wit which will put even the best comedians of today to shame. This show also ventures into American society after the world wars, and how racism and sexuality are still taboo topics that no one is willing to discuss. It is about growth and dealing with the highly unexpected. If you are into that, you would love this show. Fair warning: nudity, strong language, and the first episode does not hook you until Midge's first performance at the Gaslight, a bottle of wine in her hand.
