Just seen Joker, and it felt like watching a great, lost 1970s movie. It is not just clearly set in the 1970s (everybody smokes everywhere), it might easily be mistaken for a film actually made in the 1970s, a painstakingly period piece movie. Whether it's right or left wing, or pro SJW or anti SJW, I can't really say. I think that's why a lot of reviewers didn't like it but don't know why, because it is not clearly propaganda for anyone obvious. It is an awesome piece of psycho-cinema. What did they expect from a film about comics' greatest, most famously insane villain? A woke ending?
