The Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury cameos are a delight and the highlights of Mary Poppins returns. Emily Blunt is a sparkling Mary Poppins. Lin-Manuel Miranda did as much as possible with the dialogue he was given. The choreography is wonderful. The storyline is as good as the original Mary Poppins. Yet with all of these glowing components the totally bland songs turn a movie that I was ready to rave about into a barely ho-hum outing. Disney's animated presentations are all known for their.sparkling music. There have been four or fivesongs that you find yourself humming over the following week. There is not one memorable tune from Mary Poppins Returns. This musical was a sad presentation.
