No mention of Napoleon's Marshalls, no mention of the social reforms, no mention of military strategy, no mention of Egyptology, no mention of Spain.. Many minutes of Napoleon and Josephine sitting in awkward silence, multiple scenes of Napoleon making weird murmuring noises to let a room full of people know he wants to jack rabbit **** Josephine, which is shown several times. Several scenes driving home the point that, allegedly, his primary motivations always centered around her and explicitly stating that he would be nothing without her, despite her never doing anything more than cheat on him and show pure disinterest in their marriage. Imagine making a movie about George Washington and then glossing over his entire military career and most of the Revolutionary War to focus instead on a dysfunctional relationship with Martha and the way she constantly cheated on him because she couldn't stand how weak and pathetic he was.. That's what this film does to Napoleon. I cannot help but think that all of the reviews calling this great, or trying to shush everyone who would have appreciated at least an once of historical accuracy in this historical epic, must either know literally absolutely nothing about the real history yet consider all history boring, or are gpt bots. This entire film is a farce and and insult to educated peoples. The real history has jaw dropping betrayals, political intrigue and espionage, battles where all was lost until last second cavalry charges, heroic sacrifices and countless examples of overcoming all odds.. this film chose to use none of that. Absolutely none of it. I was looking forward to this more than any film in 5 years. Trying to fit his entire story into a single movie was a mistake that anyone even remotely familiar with the real history could see coming from a mile away. It's so confusing, the "creative" choices that are made, when the source material is so incredibly unbelievable and yet true.. this film might be called "Napoleon", but it isn't about the history of the man nor the era. 2/10 utter disappointment

Where do I start.. The writing is horrible. I genuinely have never seen a movie with this kind of budget be so bad. The CGI is abysmal. The fire effects on the mine bomb look like something out of a highschool student film. James Bond movies are more believable. This movie feels like it was written by a 10 yr old who just wanted to meet Vin Diesel. Save yourself a couple of hours and a ton of braincells.. go huff paint instead of watching this garbage. Your brain will be better off for it.

There is no other way to describe this movie... it's terrible. The original Jurassic Park was written by someone who took real world groundbreaking scientific advances and imagined how humanity might try to capitalize on them, and ultimately fail. Jurassic World Dominion was written by someone who has less scientific knowledge than your average 12 year old. The entire plot is idiotic and contrived, each scene written only to set up forced casting choices and artificial conflict. The only people who could possibly enjoy this movie are children under the age of 10 and adults who are science illiterate and drunk on nostalgia. The writing and directing choices are wet garbage. It will be a blessing to Hollywood and cinema in general if Colin Trevarrow is never given the reigns to another film.

Ewan McGregor is great as Obi-Wan. I enjoyed the interaction between him and Uncle Owen. That is the only positive thing I can say about the entirety of the 2 hour premiere. The rest of the acting felt extremely forced. The interactions between the inquisitors was so bad, it reminded me of watching the villains in Power Rangers as a child. I can only describe it as "cheap plastic". The scenes with young Leia, which is about half the runtime, also felt cheap and forced. Her very first few lines, delivered while watching ships take off while she sits in a tree w her droid, were just..not good. Watching full grown adults pretending, badly, that they can't outrun a very small child made me cringe. You can actually see them catching up very quickly multiple times, only for her to be saved by a quick jump cut that suddenly shows the baddies have somehow fallen several yards behind while we couldn't see. I don't know enough to place blame on any particular actors, or on the director, or on the Disney representatives who carefully monitor production to make sure everything is on brand and directed at the correct target wallets.. but every bit of this premier failed to meet any and all hopes that I had about an Obi-Wan Kenobi series. TLDR: Some of the acting was good, most of it was pretty bad and felt forced. Overall the premier felt like watching a low budget children's show, like Power Rangers mixed with Barney and draped in a StarWars blanket. 3/10 would only recommend to parents w young children
