Rewatch this movie again for the third time; I forgot how beautiful it is. I had to reread the book to enjoy a good cry over much laughter shared and lost, to an ending that makes you wonder if life is ever fair to anyone.
A journey about how people often take things for granted, friendships destroyed and restored, holding on to the last patch of hope and losing it all over again, and one's realisation to live for oneself. The characters went through many transformation phases, maturity stages, and whatnot.
What gets me is how realistic the movie is. We don't always get our happy ending, but we can always make the best of what we have been given with and march on.
The movie itself is very British in the sense that life is a long slow drawl, dry humour, and plenty of wine and tea shared over many occasions.
