With respect to the Spillover of Ebola I thought of a One Rabid Bat Theory of transmission. Scientists have identified Ebola in fruit bats. What if every so often one bat goes rabid - with Ebola. When it dies and is consumed by primate, we have an Ebola outbreak. We can't find the host, because the host is very rare and gets eaten by the Primate Patient Zero
