This has got to be one of the worst films Disney has ever made. I physically cannot understand why people like it, it is enormously overrated. Here’s the issue….Literally NOTHING at all happens! there was no plot whatsoever or adventure that any of the characters went on. It felt like the story kept trying to go somewhere but then just went absolutely nowhere it was incredibly infuriating. There was no character development at all and you didn’t connect with any of the characters or feel anything for them it felt like there were just loads of random characters with no backstory stuck in a colourful movie. The story was so pointless and boring with no adventure or drive. It was in dire need of some sort of plot twist or something to really spice it up as the writing just fell completely flat (mind you there was practically no plot to twist). The music was OK but none of the songs stood out to me or were particularly memorable. I usually adore lin Manuel Miranda’s work and think he is a genius but the songs were just alright and I didn’t think they particularly went with the movie or further developed it. The only thing I will say is the animation was beautiful, but Disney were seriously mistaken if they thought pretty animation paired with somewhat good songs would be enough to carry this movie. Honestly don’t even bother watching it.

Just utterly phenomenal. Beautifully written, fantastically acted, you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, this series is an absolute masterpiece. Absolutely genius.
