This movie is one of the Top 3 best movies I have ever seen, and I stand behind what say. I read some of the comments and was disgusted by how much hate not only the movie got, but JOKER! The world loves to say that people need to change and that change is great for evolution, but are completely incompetent hypocrites when they want to see the same Joker or character for that fact, over and over again in different movies. I have watched and studied the previous and earlier Joker characters and characteristics and it wasn't my cup of tea. I am completely entitled to my personal opinion when I say, I didn't like the previous Jokers as much, they were good, but they weren't the best in my opinion. The Joker that was brought before fans in (Suicide Squad, 2016) hit the nail on the head for me! Joker brought something new and fresh to the movie, even with limited appearances, it was something we haven't seen before with the character, Joker, and I absolutely loved it!
The actor "Jared Leto" did a fantastic job with becoming his character. This is what acting is about, becoming your character and making the audience forget that it's a movie and that is exactly what Jared Leto did! His character fit right into Harley Quinn's back story and made their past complete.
Although I do believe that he could have had more significance in the movie, than what was given, I am not going to sit here and discredit him for that. Some people seem to forget the actors and actresses aren't always the ones producing and directing the movie. They have instructions and scripts, and they follow them. You can't judge and discredit them for doing their job. I will say once more that "Jared Leto" did a wonderful job and showed a different side of Joker even though he was a Flat Character, rather than a Dynamic one. I believe they should have continued Jared Leto's, "Joker", and Margot Robbie's, "Harley Quinn", in a separate movie explaining their entire past and a new present challenge for them to face together.
Once again the movie is one of the best 3 I have ever seen and the year is 2021. It seems like the newer and more advanced the world gets with technology, the worse the movies get. Nowadays the trailers of movies are better than the actual movie compared to the past, where the trailers weren't the best, but the movies were out of this world.
I re-watched (Suicide Squad, 2016) because the sequel is close to releasing and I wanted to remind myself of what a great movie it was. I did not see Jared Leto's character, Joker, in the trailer so I did research and found that he wasn't re-casted for the sequel because of the hate and disgusting comments from critics, fans, and audiences. This is what led me to write this review and display my opinion to the public in case there were some fans who had similar thoughts to mine. Before I end this I want to say how good Tina Charad, the graphic costume designer/illustrator, did on Jared Leto. From his makeup to his outfit choices, it was all something new and brought something fresh to the movie. Thank you for your time in reading. Have a Blessed Day!
