Given the budget, I was blown away by the quality of the CGI in general. Sure, if it were a $300 million film, you'd say it lacked polish. But hey, given its poultry $25mil budget, this monstrous true blue Aussie production offered good acting, massive effects, decent storyline, goodies, baddies and aliens. You really got to hate specific characters, you were left rooting for others, and by the end of what was in fact chapter 1 - in true Starwars fashion - you were left feeling desperate and hopeless. One can only imagine that Chapter 2 holds us as captivated in what i can only assume will be an uprising by earth fighters against the aliens. Any true SciFi lover will be Champing at the bit waiting for chapter 2.
