I’ve always been a fan of the original trilogy, but I have to admit that Jurassic World was a pretty excellent movie. That being said, I believe the franchise took a turn for the worse in Fallen Kingdom. I disliked the plot of John Hammond’s partner that we’ve never heard about until now, and despised the granddaughter clone reveal. It was unnecessary and bad writing. The indominous raptor was a nice touch but the destruction of the island and the death of the dinosaurs seen was nothing but heartbreaking. To be quite honest the movie seemed to move from one depressing scene to the next. And while I loved the return of Jeff Goldblum, that fact that he was in it for only 5 minutes was extremely irritating. With that I give this movie a 1/5 for poor plot, bad writing, and no context.

Educational, but gruesome and dark.

Not terrible, but would’ve been better if it ended on a cliffhanger with twilight going to Equestria and the others going in after her leading to an epic battle between friendship and evil
