Looooots of misinformation, unfortunately. City treated water at treatment plants isn't dangerous or full of harmful chemicals. It is safe, and it has levels of chemicals that are sufficient enough to kill harmful substances such as pathogens, but not in levels harmful to the human body. Just one of the several pieces of false information relayed on the show :(.
