Bala is an eye-opening movie with a fresh story. The typical stereotypes of a Bollywood film have been broken. The characters are unique and well written. It is a feel-good concept with a good message. The only thing I disliked about Bala was the need to paint Bhumi Padnekar with dark paint to create a "dusky" girl, when there are several dusky female actors in the industry. Whenever she was on-screen, no matter how good her acting was, looking at her body makeup was disturbing.
