Gina Rodriguez made a good effort and should definitely score other lead roles that, hopefully, have less to do with her ethnic background or Mexico and more to do with her talent . The movie, on the other hand, stereotypes Mexicans and spotlights the negative aspects of Mexico , leaving the erroneous impression that all or many Mexicans are murderers, drug peddlers, gun-runners and/or sex traffickers. In today's rotten political climate, highlighting such things are entertaining but serve no positive purpose. Would like to see a movie that portrays the hard-working Mexicans who have supported and helped build our American economy for decades for which they have earned little credit. The good never get enough attention.
