Although this movie was fairly formulaic, it nonetheless had heart and had a powerful emotional pull. I have always thought Toni Collette was a fine actress, and she gives another very good performance here. Also, the sense of place -- in this case, a small town in Wales -- was very strong here. Personally, I would recommend this film to anyone.
