The overbearing messaging in this show clouds any amount of intrigue. It feels like trying to get a word in edgewise with an angry 20-something who's had one semester in gender studies. Within the first 15 minutes, I felt like I was being cudgeled by man-hating, cis-hating, classist, feminist propaganda. I was hoping for something that would focus on the story, not whatever flavor-of-the week social issue could be shoehorned into the script. Despite the apparent efforts to paint men as awful, the only likable character was the Whitelighter. Since he was for "fully pro-choice enterprises," I'll take my views elsewhere.
