I was surprised that I didn’t care for this movie; I like all the others. This one is way too long. It should have been made into two movies with a little more balance, story and character development.
There’s violence in every “Indiana Jones” movie but this one was exceedingly violent. And there was way too much of it. People were shot at close range, shot Willy Nilly. The fist fighting landing on heads and jaws was excessively ridiculous.Youths under the age of 16 should not be allowed to watch this.
As usual there was a lot of fast action, but often too fast, and more wonky than other IJ movies. Half the action- fighting would have produced a more balanced film, slowed it down a little and make it more believable. Too much of it clouded a decent plot.
Repetitive , repetitive , repetitive replays of the same type of actions began to actions - hunt, chase, obtain, then run. Way too long in these. Harrison Ford brought the needed gravity and professional tone.
A decent story that is sometimes hard to follow. I wouldn’t see it again
