What would a crew of two accomplish on KR-23? If there's already a thriving colony there then I would have thought they'd have contact with both earth as well as aether.

Although initially gripping, I thought it went out of hand. Any onward reading will now have teasers. How was the fountain of youth able to bring the dead back to life? How long does one have to be dead before they can still be brought back? Why did the 8 feet man not enter the water to live? How was he running out of time? And although times had changed further allowing the cables to recur people their space ship was unchanged. Also the planet looked pretty habitable from space. Just too many unexplained theories.
