It felt really mediocre overall. A classic cartoon changed to attempt to appeal to newcomers. There were some good jokes, some classic characters, and had some good moments . The plot felt way to rushed and convenient, and the forced emotional moment near the end was so bad, it made me annoyed with how shoehorned in it was. Blue falcon was turned into a forced relatable character for pre-teens, and Shaggy's voice felt way too different to fit the character. Although, I really liked dinomutt, but.... No one else really.

Extremely well written, likable characters, very unique plot, and some well designed funny moments! Top 5 shows for me without a doubt in my mind, just with this first season! Can't wait for more!

You don't always need a complex premise or intricate plot for a movie. This was a fun, simple plot with a straight forward narrative, and I believe that is a strength for the film. Sonic is not a super complex character, and he doesn't need to be. So, the movie revolved around his personality perfectly. The acting was great, the movie was fun and simple, and this is exactly what I wanted and expected out of a movie based around a character from the 90's.
