A story that portrayed the ugliness of the society that we as a whole took for granted.
This story bring forward a main character that is just a very ordinary citizen that is just trying to enter into the adult life, while unfortunately being put into a very dark surrounding.
Herein we see how this very ordinary young man being the receiving end of pressure and stress from all directions without anybody to help or hear him. There is only so much one can endure before one finally starts to break and when that happen the break is not going to be pretty (as we can see from the real violent outburst of people through information from newspaper).
The story also showcase a major character that fits the classical charming psychopath - a person that on the surface managed to blend into the society with his charming looks and surface personality. This person would undergoes a huge machination of engineering that would systematically break down the main character - to mold the main character into the perfect image as this person envisioned from the moment he laid his eyes on the main character.
The entirety of the story bring forth the theme that - It is not the ghost, monsters and boogeyman we should be afraid for and be very careful because there is a monster laying dormant in every one of us, waiting for the right catalyst and surrounding to give birth to this monstrosity.
The story also shows how negligence of society, peers and families in noticing how one person would endure an enormous amount of pain and mental torture. This negligence would then results to a very sad and totally undeserved tragedy.
A great take for a story. Kudos for venturing into anything but traditional koreal love cliche
