This show is not just funny, heartwarming, and riveting but it is art. The artistry put into the shots is insane, and there is so much to get out of every scene. The characters all felt believable and i loved almost all of them right off the bat. They are humanized with trauma and privilege and the recognizing of how they intersect. Young Royals lacks the typical cheesy banter and slang that ruins most shows about high school aged people. If you want to watch a romance that at its best worst and medium makes you want to sob with how adorable they are this is for you. If you want plus sized, queer, neurodivergent, and POC representation this is for you.
