If you have a chance make sure to look up this author. I really try not to let looks pass judgement, but it actually worked out in this case. By page 15 he had said the b word twice. And he uses it again through out the book along with the bad c word. I tried to read it as a possible character flaw that the author was trying to portray, but there were just to many slights against women that I don't think it's the character, but the author. Yes, he's writing about a demon that makes the boys seem or hear things coming from people they know, but not once does the demon use any derogatory terms for men. If demons are evil to all, I would think it would have said some choice words for the boys themselves other than silly playground names that other kids would say. It really was a good book, but the misogyny really ruined it. I have to figure out what to do with this copy because I don't want it in my house.
