Great family movie, but from a superhero standpoint.. no. I was an hour in and I completely forgot that it was a superhero movie due to the lack of action packed scenes that are essential for these kinds of films. The first WW was a 10/10, because of the incredible character development and story line. However, in WW1984, these new characters were just thrown at you and had a very cliche personality. Don’t get me wrong, this movie was enjoyable to watch, but it had so much more potential! I felt as though Gal Gadot wasn’t even the main character and was more of a secondary while pedro pascal had the spotlight. These actors are fantastic, but I didn’t love their character. Anyway, all in all, it’s a fun family movie that kids would love, but from a superhero movie fan, this was not it. Pros: - great capture of the 80s - interesting concept - great humor Cons: - minor character development - cliche personalities - very few action scenes

I’ve never written a review, but oh my god this movie was amazing, I just had to. The set was beautiful, the story was incredible, and the cast was perfectly picked. I watched this for the first time 6 months ago and I still find myself thinking about it often. You can see the love between Leyna and Lutz while they frequently get separated due to the war. I’ve never cried so hard after a movie in my life, and this will forever stay on my list of recommendations for a good cry. So beautiful, 10/10.
