If I could give this book a zero I surely would. I had high hopes of reading this book because I appreciated Lupita writing a children book, however lets be clear children do not come out the womb hating themselves. It is the world that teaches them to self hate. I would never read this book to any of my children, its not only depressing, it is a misrepresentation, and it a stories built on the traumas of bullying. This story needs to be in an autobiography, not a children's book.
