I must have watched a different film to the other reviewers. The were about 2 funny parts in the film and the rest was just an unrealistic impression of single parenthood.
The baby at the beginning couldn’t seem to decide whether it was a newborn or about to start walking. Skip to 5 years later and Kevin is still dwelling on the death of his wife and passing that sense of loss on to his daughter on a daily basis.
Single parents also don’t generally announce to their 5 year old every time they are going on a date and analyse that date and the status of the relationship at point in time to said child.
Kevin’s boss broke about every HR protocols with most things he said. And what kind of parent would keep their child in a school they clearly did not like, because it’s the school your dead wife chose before the baby was born.
Pretty disappointed!
