Absolutely incredible. People always expect things to be as good as their book counterpart unfortunately that is never the case. Even the Harry Potter movies lacked much of what the books offered. The show is engaging, enigmatic and exciting. It offers a good look into Pullmans world seen through different eyes. Pullman himself never knew where his books were going when he sat down to write and it feels like His Dark Materials has that same sense of mystery to it.
