Horrid. Disgusting. Putrid. A film depicting "real historical atrocities" ... But it really comes across as another excuse for Hollywood to revel in their gluttonous appetite for violence and rape. They love a good rape scene. There's about 4 in this film. They're all AWFUL. It felt like exploitation. Can you tell a story accurately without all the smut? I don't think Hollywood wants too. They're a disgusting bunch. No sympathy for these historical atrocities, just a showcase of brutality. I feel like a punishment in hell would be having to watch this film over and over.
