The frequent sex scenes are what drives the interest of this show but that starts getting boring by episode 2. Then you’re left with extremely phony drama, replayed flashbacks and an endless circle of the same indecision. By time you get to episode three you’re in it for the season because you want to know what happens at the end (hence the two stars for cliffhangers). However the further into the season, the ever heightening drama seems like a desperate attempt at adding a jaw dropper to an otherwise cliche plot.
What really bothered me about this show is the sort of promotion here and there and especially at the end about women’s sexual empowerment and not minimizing ourselves as women to fit a societal narrative. Yet the main character who is 85% happy in her marriage is about to risk it all for a problematic ex boyfriend because the sex was good. This show is a immature game between a husband and wife of anything you can do bad I can do badder.
