Dog lovers who also love the outdoors will really like this look at some amazing sports that people do with their dogs. Most people are familiar with dogsledding, but there is more. You don't necessarily even have to go out in the snow! I was surprised to see German shorthaired pointers running in snow and even more surprised that they crossed them with greyhounds, knowing how cold-sensitive greyhounds are. The dogs didn't seem to mind, though. In fact, it was clear they were having a great time. That was the thing I liked best about the film - seeing the bonds between the mushers and their dogs and the joy they shared in pursuing their sport. The only criticism I have is that I wish they would have shown more about dryland mushing with wheeled vehicles. They showed some tantalizing glimpses and as a weather-weenie myself (much like a greyhound), I am intrigued. It looks like a whole lot of fun!
