Judith Ehrlich

I was surprised how moving, delightful and heartful I found this film. The characters were extremely well drawn, empathetic and above all painfully human. I've tried to watch a lot of pathetic attempts at cinema on Netflix but this was a delight- the script was full of charming moments and a believable story of decline and delight. Mirren and Sutherland were as good as two maestros of the screen can get. bravo!!

I must have been in Antarctica to have missed this film.. a friend just mentioned it to me and I found it extraordinary. Kate.. what can you say except more please! The daughter was astounding. The story which elucidates the journey of an artist deprived of her art who finds her way back to the core of her creativity and is saved- was an uplifting experience. you've done it again you genius, Richard Linklater!
