Absolutely dreadful, it was so awful I couldn’t bear to watch the last episode and read about it instead! The more I see James Nesbitt, the more I realise he is overrated and overused, maybe he comes cheap. Another actor may have clawed something back, but I doubt it, too many ridiculous story lines and plot holes. Needless to say I will not be watching series 2.

Overrated drivel,no character development, all very unlike able ( except Colin ) I didn’t see the point of Jill, what was she? A mother figure for the boys? She had no life of her own, ridiculous . The subject matter needed to be told and was tragic, but not through these unbelievable characters,whom after 10 years, not only didn’t change the decor of their flat but no one had a haircut or aged one iota.

From the first promising episode, it spun a slow but increasingly downward spiral. What could’ve been done in a couple of hours TV movie, dragged on to it’s predictable ridiculous ending. Good enough actors, although personally think Nicole Kidman is overrated, but the script was pretty dire. It tried to shoe horn in red herrings, so leaving each episode on a cliffhanger and disappointing the viewer the next episode. It was contrived, disappointing and frankly quite laughable in places, although I do think the hammer deserves an award.
