David Paterson

To make a film based on women scientists in the 1800s and demean the work they were doing seems like an exercise in old fashioned sexism. Mary Anning had a fascinating story and yet her accomplishments as scientist were simplified and patronised. Charlotte Murchison and Elizabeth Philpot were also significant contributors to science yet those contributors were eradicated.for reasons that must either be cynical or clumsy.
