Ugh. I hoped for hearing of heroism to save millionsi but end up hearing a story about poor, maligned homosexuals. So I'm supposed to see this guy as moral, while he marries a lady who doesn't know he's homo, and it's not his fault but the fault of those who have made his homo a crime. Way too far into the fillm and still no story about the heroism.

Not my favorite of Gibson s although it's in the era of "Maverick" where Mel shines out in the prime of his life. It's kind of a cute love story. Interesting how Gibson was criticized for being antisemitic yet co stars with this famous Jewish star.

Very funny. Leblanc is great as the love sick maniac. He's at that age when men reach maturity but are still young and attractive. Good to see Chevy chase again in a film.

Very funny, enjoyed the warm and believable relationships between the ladies and their adorable men and between ea other. The wedding and the vows made me tear up. Great to see these women and men looking so great even now. Good energy these women have and good delivery on their funny lines. If for nothing else, see the film for the breathtaking scenes of Italy.

Watched again and again bc it keeps making me laugh. Stiller is too funny. Love the premise: friend and family pressure male into marriage to someone he does not really know, she is 'playing' him but already the honeymoon reveals the truth. And, on this honeymoon he meets some one who is the one he's been looking for. What's so funny is that the predicament is so easy to understand. Funniest scenes is Stiller's character making up where he was when actually hanging out with another woman on his honeymoon.

I both adore Sean Connery and Hitchcock. This is good for those who want to watch Connery in a romantic role. He plays a compassionate male who wants to help this woman get over past trauma.

I'm a big Harrison Ford fan. And a Peter weir fan. Again, he employs the old keeping the intimacy in a relationship hidden technique. I prefer that. And at the same time he shows a very steamy male/female encounter. The movie has the adventure stuff too. Something for everyone. I often tell Amish people who I know don't see movies how well this director depicts their lifestyle.

This is one of the best demonstrations of romance in film without sex that absolutely delights the viewer. I love this relationship.that happens bc they get thrown together, a popular theme. This is where I started to like Cusack, right at the beginning of his career.

I just stumbled upon this recently. Amazing film, telling the story of vigilante-ism in the I980s. I'm aware that small towns in America can be under the control of those same power hungry type of people we left behind in Europe. This is one serious example. Swayze is fantastic, so is sam elliot. Discovered Jeff Healey and yet a other bob Dylan song here.

Going back to past film masterpieces, I know this has been a fav of guys, but years ago I couldn't appreciate it as much as now. It offers a look into the past, something I've been thinking about much lately. It shows some of our dark past in Europe, how hard times were. It shows even white people once lived next to nature with only bow and arrow and spear. It shows what the English were, which helps to realize what they became as it was English people who founded America. And I never realized that the Scots were some of the first "freedom fighters" in Europe. What a story!
