I don't understand how I lasted as long as I did. I absolutely hated the main actress. She was childish, invasive, narcissistic... Genuinely painful to enjoy a plot yet have to endure the main character. I wanted to feel sorry for her but it was so hard.

I would have loved it if she had left him in the end. Especially because he said that of all the people he had dated, no one loved being degraded like her; and that's what he did the whole night. He gaslit her when he knew that her outrage was valid. He knew that all he had to do was say sorry and thank you. Yet he still chose to say those ugly things. I was not satisfied that the movie ended with the two of them together.

I strongly dislike Ji Hoo's character. She turns really mean and vindictive when she is mad about something. The fact that I was not even rooting for them says a lot. I felt like he needed someone who said what they meant and meant what they said.

I started this feeling excited purely for the face value of the leads. But somewhere along the line the plot derailed. I'll not get into the Africa thing (I feel like I may be desensitized to writers using Africa as a country not a continent) Nor the ml's 4yr old personality. (bullying the girl you like, really? Using power dynamics to terrorize someone at work isn't romantic) My gripe comes with the fact that we suddenly switched from fluff between the couple to being bombarded with a stalker fan, an entitled mum & a "past". & then just as suddenly that's all resolved.???? So why did you bring it up then???? Anyway sorry but I didn't feel the chemistry between the other 2 couples like others did. I thought they were cute and amusing BEFORE they got together. But they all became so cringe when they did get together 😭😭 (including the main couple). The extra value is for the face value. I felt blessed

I find the set up of the scenes extremely choppy. We know Ji Chang Wok is beautiful but whole minutes of him just scratching his head or looking blankly at people with that sad face is too much. There are also too many allusions to things that are never explained. Instead of building up mystery, I feel like I've already figured out his oh so sad past that nothing will possibly shock me. As some reviewers have mentioned, some actors don't gel with their roles. But my thing is I don't feel the chemistry between the leads at all. This is the first time ever I haven't shipped him with his female counterpart. (except for that wonderland one. But she was a minor) Last but not least, forced prostitution is a heady topic. I'm truly scared to see how they'll handle it. Anyway I continue to applaud Ji Chang Wok for continuously challenging himself with diverse roles, even if it doesn't always work out, lol.
